Ghanaian pastor, author, and evangelist, Bishop Dag Heward Mills has for the first time spoken after the painful death of his eldest son Dr.David Heward Mills. The founder and presiding Bishop of the lighthouse group of churches, formerly known as lighthouse chapel international addressed a congregation as he preached and commented on the demise of his son.
The son, the late Dr.David Heward Mills passed on in the United States after a short illness. He was a Medical doctor and aged 31. David reportedly died on Friday, the 15th of April 2022. Since that same day was a Good Friday, his father was holding a fellowship service at the independence square. His official handle failed to touch on the issue and rather took to Facebook to thank the congregation that patronized his convention.
The bereaved family had to brace themselves for what was coming as a mixed reaction from a section of the public and social media users gave their opinions. As a huge number commiserated with the bereaved family, netizens mostly from different religions called on the pastor to “resurrect his dead son”.
Bishop Heward Mills during his Sunday service has finally spoken and he’s said
“My son David just passed away and you are asking if I’m sad? If you had a don who died will you be sad? You should ask yourself that question. Death spoils everything. It brings a funny environment and spoils everything”.
