Education Director Threatens To Transfer Some Teachers. There is an ongoing tension between the director of Education in Oforikrom Municipality, Madam Doris Opare Addo, and 14 teachers in her District —Ashanti Region.
Information, as reported by Oyarepa Fm, has it that Madam Doris had threatened and prepared a letter of transfer for fourteen Teachers in the Oforikrom Educational Directorate.
Reports from Oyarepa Fm said, the 14 teachers, whose names have been withheld, were accused of flogging a pupil by a parent.
The parent reported the matter to the Educational director and a committee was set up to investigate the complaints.
The teachers who spoke disclosed the committee found them not guilty, however, the director insists they must write to the office to apologize.
The teachers found no reason to apologize so, they have refused to do so as directed by the District Director of Education, Madam Ofori Addo.
As of the time of reporting the news, Oyarepa fm went to the District Director for her side of the story —but she declined to speak to them.
