The France Ambassador to Ghana, her excellency Annie-Sophie, who has been lauded by ghanaian celebrities, creatives, and fans for her massive efforts in the promotion of ghanaian music, tourism, and culture has in a tweet explained to social media users why ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale was not billed for the Accra In Paris show.
Accra In Paris is an event that was rolled out by the French ambassador in collaboration with Ghanaian ace broadcaster Bola Ray. The event which was held in France had ghanaian musicians and creatives like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Kwabena Kwabena including social media personalities like Kalyjay and media personnel and bloggers.
The first part of the show was Paris In Accra which saw french artists troupe into Ghana to host an event. The show in Paris saw massive performances from the ghanaian acts and helped mend the broken relationship between Sarkodie and Stonebwoy as the two had to be at their best.
After a successful show, Ghanaian social media users have congratulated the various acts including the French ambassador…However one user named Pacman asked the ambassador ; “But Auntie Akosua I looked everywhere to see if I would find @shattawalegh at the concert in Paris but he was nowhere to be found, To be honest it broke my spirit. Hoooo-Auntie Akosua”
Answering the user, her excellency took the opportunity to educate fans on why another great Ghanaian musician like Shatta Wale was left out.She Tweeted;”Again the concert was about french and Ghanaian artists who had done features together.”
