Reggae Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known in the business as Shatta Wale has advised colleague musicians and entreated them to be thankful to their fans who made them what they are.The ghanaian artiste is known to have one of the biggest fanbases in Africa.

The Ghanaian act who is now widely accorded the title of African Dancehall King has on several occasions shown to the ghanaian music industry and hid colleagues the importance of having music fans who are organized. The connection between the Ghanaian act and his fans is overwhelmingly good as his fans are devoted to promoting his works.

The story of Shatta Wale is a great one for the history books. After going into music exile in the early 2000s, the musician used his absence from the mainstream music scene to gather and organize his music lovers mainly from the ghettos, streets, and slums. The gradual organization however has evolved to become one of the greatest fan armies in the African music scene.

Shatta Wale built a strong fan base who are dedicated to his work. These fans contain youth, adults, and cooperatives whose slogan is “4 Lyf”.The fandom over the years has promoted and defended the artiste when needed and become the backbone of the act.
