The president’s Cousin, Gabby Otchere-Darko has finally declared his stands concerning the famous anti-g@y bill which has been presented to parliament for further deliberation.
According to him, he’s against the bill which will criminalize the activities of LGBTQ+. He believes as a Ghanian who cherishes all that is good about Ghanaian values, systems including tolerance, and to protect the voice of the minority, he has the courage and sense of justice to disagree with the minority who support the bill.
“l am against the anti-gay bill & not shy to
say so. I am a proud Ghanaian who
cherishes all that is good about our value
systems, including tolerance. And, I will
defend the right of minorities
everywhere. I have the courage and a
sense of justice to disagree with the
majority.” He tweeted.

Early this year, a private bill was presented before parliament led by Hon. Sam Dzata George, MP for Ningo-Prampram to criminalize the activities of LGBTQ+ in the country.
The bill has been dissected by Ghanaians with different views. A lot of support the bill, while others are against the bill. They believe when this bill is passed, it will open a gate for people to infringe on the right of LGBTQ+ community.
